Payment Information
I am considered an Out-of-Network provider, which means I do not accept insurance as payment. This means you would be responsible for full payment at the time of each session. Payments are collected through a secure/HIPAA-compliant payment app called Ivy Pay. Ivy Pay accepts all major credit/debit cards as well as HSA and FSA cards. I will provide you with an SMS link to securely enter your payment information prior to your first appointment.
Late Cancellation and No Show Policies
There is a 24-hour cancellation/no-show policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify me (via email) at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, or if you do not notify me of any need to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment, you will be responsible for the full session fee.
Out-of-Network Provider | Insurance Reimbursements
I am considered an “Out-of-Network Provider,” which means I do not accept insurance as payment. As noted above, you will be responsible for full payment at the time of each session. However, if you have insurance that covers out-of-network therapy sessions, I will provide you with a monthly invoice (referred to as a “superbill”) that your insurance company needs to reimburse you if they cover our sessions. 2. Does my plan cover telehealth therapy services?
3. How would I request a prior authorization, plan exception, or ‘utilization review’ to have my preferred therapist (with specialty training) partially covered under my plan?
4. How much of the fee would be reimbursed for an OON Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD in Clinical Psychology)?
What is the customary reimbursement rate for the following CPT codes:
— 90837 (55-min psychotherapy session)
— 90834 (45-min psychotherapy session)
— 90791 (60-min psychodiagnostic assessment/initial intake)
5. Is there a limit to the number of therapy sessions covered?
6. What is the process for submitting claims? (Note: Therapist will provide a ‘superbill’ directly to the client on a monthly basis.)
— What information is specifically required for the claims (e.g., NPI number, diagnosis, proof of payment)?
7. How long does it typically take to be reimbursed?
